YOU HAD ARRIVED

I knew you had arrived
At the isolations of my doorsteps
I knew you were waiting
To light up the lamps you had once left.

I knew the moment had made its way
For us, to kiss each other and cry
And make those last promises
Once again, before you see me die.

Where were you all these days

Wished to lie down in your warm lap

The floor was cold and the glass fragile

But not more than love and this mishap.

I knew all that mattered was the end

And here with you I am in my last moments

Please touch me and wipe my tears

Begging your attention before I settle in sands.

No, don't let those precious diamonds touch your cheeks

Tell them that you were forever mine
And every night would come to the terrace

Promise me, you would and search the sky to see me shine.

Ah! I knew my heart had arrived

While I touched the strings of pain

For feelings emerged from the heart

And pain was its holy name.

Why do you move your li'l fingers at my lip?

Do you demand some more silence

No, you know, don't do that to me
I've already been living in my solaced reliance.

I am sorry, I was demanding

Still you tried to find innocence in what I said

But I was caught in a spider's web by then

Everything beautiful apparently but heading towards death.

Of this age, since I knew you had arrived
I had prepared myself for this wishful talk
Please hide me in your bosom, don't let me see
Your face, before I go forever on a void walk...
